Submission to God’s will is the softest pillow on which to rest.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
Psalms 62:5-8 NIV

God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.
Hebrews 4:1 NLV

Late that day he said to them, “Let’s go across to the other side.” They took him in the boat as he was. Other boats came along. A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it. And Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, sleeping! They roused him, saying, “Teacher, is it nothing to you that we’re going down? Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, “Quiet! Settle down!” The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass. Jesus reprimanded the disciples: “Why are you such cowards? Don’t you have any faith at all?”

Mark 4:35-40 MSG

Don’t worry, Be happy!

  1. It is important to remember that we are all here for a purpose ordained by the Almighty. Therefore all of God’s people are ordinary people who have been made extraordinary by His purpose. Unless we have the right resolve intellectually in our minds and love in our hearts, we will very quickly be diverted from being useful to God. Just remember we are not workers for God by choice. Hence, submission to God’s purpose should be a reflex action.
