Last year, there was flood of information in the media about the old rule of drinking 8 glasses of water a day. In the British Health Journal and the New York Times, there were doctors that refuted this long held rule stating there was no scientific evidence to support it.
However, in terms of Beauty Inside and Out, water may truly be the fountain of youth.
Or at least the main ingredient!
According to World Health Statistics, France and Japan have the longest life expectancy. Especially among women. I decided to do a little research of my own (conspiracy theorist that I am).
Among other factors (that I will discuss further in this series), water intake is number one among these two groups.
French women favor good wine and water. They do not have a tendency to sweet or sugary drinks like their American sisters.
Japanese women are avid water drinkers. They also have a special method.
“It is popular in Japan to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value.
Apparently, for old and serious diseases, as well as modern illnesses, the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heartbeat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases”.

This happens to be common knowledge in the East. My family doctor is from the Philippines and he shared this method with me a couple of years ago as a support to weight loss and blood pressure concerns.
Originally I thought , “Water is a cure? Whatever”…
But if it’s going to help me with youth and vitality… Now I care.
So what’s the method? Drinking water!
