My embarkation on the journey of living well began with this book. Now, mind you, I have been reading books on self help and metaphysics since 8 or 9 years old. Yet none struck me like this one. Perhaps it was because up to this point, say 26 years old, I had yet to experience life in a way that truly made sense of the knowledge I had acquired in years of study.

In the practice of energy healing, I have observed personally, the shift in experiencing one’s self after receiving energy prayer. The unseen world of atoms including the space between atoms and their effects on the physical and non-physical being is quite miraculous initially, unless you’re already well versed on energy and quantum physics, which most people are not. At the start, I was not and I cannot say that I am all that “versed” today but I get by. That is to say, what I’ve read about non-materiality and my own personal growth has made an appropriate connection in my brain!

I began this musing with the excerpt from Collier’s book on the Subconscious Storehouse. I was struck by his description of stored racial memory then, yet even more so today as I am psychically inundated with the issues of race in my country and the world at large. There is no way anyone can see and hear the news daily and not be affected. It occurred to me that none of the proposed changes or removal of statues will make a lasting difference without healing those memories. Perhaps the entire United States suffers from a national version of PTSD! There is fear and anger from racial memories commingled with present day issues and concerns. Where do we begin?

In the subconscious storehouse!

I have briefly touched on the subject of energy healing and it’s ability to impact individuals through the quantum sphere, if you will. I believe ancestral clearing and energy healing of racial memory may be a starting point for the next wave of consciousness that we are in the midst of experiencing today. There is an awakening going on, whether anyone realizes it our not.

Ancestral clearing is not new. There are many books about it. However, it has only recently occurred to me that this may be a particular area of interest for humans on the path to total well-being; Spirit, soul and body. We need to access these racial memories through love, forgiveness and acceptance of our ancestors and ourselves in gratitude for what was endured in lifetimes past and present day. To “ let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” HEB 12:1(KJV).
