“Trust and rest when all around thee
Puts thy faith to sorest test;
Let no fear or foe confound thee,
Wait for God and trust and rest.
“Trust and rest with heart abiding,
Like a birdling in its nest,
Underneath His feathers hiding,
Fold thy wings and trust and rest.” Streams in the Desert.
The Spirit within me watches. She listens to the voice of my thoughts, wondering, wandering and sometimes afraid. I have many ideas and fears, yet it appears She will only manifest those that I harbor in my heart. Those thoughts that dwell.
Dwell; verb. Live in a specified place. Dwell; noun. Technical. A slight regular pause in the motion of a machine.
The human body can be compared to a well ordered machine. The brain, being the point of transmission, responds to commands from our conscious and subconscious mind. The technical definition of dwell describes an intuitive action that perhaps relates to the power of manifestation. Or so it appears to me. Those thoughts that I harbor subconsciously, positive or negative emotions- it doesn’t matter, cause the machine to pause, and then write a new script; “This is what she wants”. Hmmm…
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”
John 15:4 NIV
This for me, is a description of Christ consciousness. Abiding in The Lord, having the Holy Spirit take up residence in our hearts is also the practice of mindfulness. We are not alone. Even in our thoughts. Let this mind be in you.
Stay connected.
Trust in The Lord.
