Self Care And Self Esteem.
The Chakra system has always been a great fascination for me. It was not taught in my biology or health classes in school. I heard about healing one’s chakras from the various “hippie” street vendors when I was a child. The Hare Krishnas were my personal favorites. Sometimes my dad would stop to buy their incense while I watched them play music and dance about in their fanciful outfits, like something out of the Voyages of Sinbad.
My understanding of the chakras has grown over the years, especially since I began practicing energy healing prayer. Personal experience is often the greatest teacher. However, I understood the magic of the flow of energy running through our bodies long before, without really knowing what it was. Perhaps you too? Curling into a ball with your hands on your belly when sick or sad? Hands on your heart when you feel stressed or hurt? Our bodies remember the secrets. We only need to practice listening them.
Lately, things have been feeling quite uncertain. It’s difficult to feel really clear about much of anything if you have spent any time listening to the news or the pandemic statistics. It’s hard not to feel a bit screwy!
Today, I took to a Solar Plexus Chakra meditation with Roman Chamomile essential oil and it worked so well I decided to share it.
My intention was simply to lie still and focus on inhaling the yellow healing energy for relaxation. After a few moments, I had this strength of spirit, then I noticed my hands were folded together at the top of my abdomen, where the Solar Plexus Chakra extends from above the belly button. Giving thanks to The Lord as always, I found encouragement welling up inside me.
Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. Ephesians 5:19
I am reminded to not get so wrapped up in the noise and distracting things of this world that I become entrapped by them.
