Wash Day Stories.

I have been experimenting with my hair ever since the pandemic began. I am not ready to return to the salon as yet. Mask or not. It’s going to take me a minute to dive back into business as usual!

I have virgin hair-as in, unprocessed hair and as any Naturalista will tell you, wash day is Not a walk in the park! Some of us have the biceps to prove it!

Typically, I will use any of my favorite natural hair care brands to condition my hair but I find there is nothing like a homemade Hot Oil treatment to combat dryness. Being indoors had really dehydrated my curls, so I mixed a few drops of essential oils known for their hair magic into EVOO and wow! Hydrated and soft. After a few treatments, I’ve noticed my hair strands are stronger as well!

Incidentally, I have also discovered a new tool that makes detangling sooo easy, every time. The Heeta detangling brush is so much better for my hair than that pink and white rubber brush (that everyone told me to buy). It does not snatch my curls apart! I can brush it wet, without a leave-in conditioner! The home salon isn’t such a bad idea after all!

That is, until I need a trim!
