Am I ready?
Not quite. Today is a celebrated day throughout the American Football Kingdom- Super Bowl Sunday! This is the day that over-consumption is expected and I’m here for it! I have always struggled with the 1st of the year fasts. Mainly, due to January always feeling like a dull hangover from the previous year. This year was no different.
Of course many churches and religious people hold a Daniels Fast at the start of the year. I agree that it is a great idea for some, but if you participated in any holiday cheer, going cold turkey on January 1 can be a struggle. Then, there are the football fans found in most churches, who are painfully aware that they are only partially engaged in spiritual things, thinking of (and sometimes sneaking) ribs, hot wings, beer kegs, and treats during the playoffs-Now I know I wasn’t the only one!
Selfish? Vain imaginations? Food Lust? Perhaps. However, I found that giving myself a chance to acclimate to the “new year”, allowing the previous year’s worries and wonders to dissolve into last year’s news, was the fresh start I needed. Celebrating the close of the NFL season says, spring break is just around the corner and if you don’t do something FAST you will never fit into that bathing suit!!
Okay, partly kidding.

The U.S. has a new president, we’ll have the 2020 Super Bowl champion in a few hours and hopefully a COVID free landscape in a few months. Don’t you want to be ready?
Join me, starting February 8 (the number of new beginnings) for a 21 day fast and rest. 21 day So Beautiful Am I! #21daysobeautifulmi
Week 1: veg out, no bread or animal flesh. Drink lots of water, no alcohol or carbonated drinks. Herbal tea is fine. No herbal smoking is allowed. Prepare your body for 14 days of Juicing!
Keep in mind, some of you will see this as a cinch to accomplish. There are others, like I was at first, who will think this is crazy and impossible. Try it. However long you are able to participate, it will be so worth it. I promise.
Ttyl 😘!
